Balancing being a career woman and a mom

balancing being a career woman and being a mom

My journey to motherhood wasn’t traditional, and it hasn’t been easy in fact at times I have felt overwhelmed, ill-equipped, and like I’m failing my daughter. When my daughter was born, the stress nearly consumed me! I didn’t know how to balance the purpose I felt in my career and the purpose I felt in caring for my little. It’s taken time but with a few key, intentional changes, I am learning the beauty and purpose of being a working mom.

I want to promote a life of intentional simplicity and encourage every person I know and anyone who stumbles on my page to walk in their purpose. I want you to learn to take time for yourself. I also want you to have fun doing it!

That means finally organizing your home, praying more, taking time to check on your health, creating schedules and routines that help balance your home life and work life, all while getting to know God better!

Mommying while working is a lot! My prayer is together we can find a way to embrace our unique version of motherhood. When we embrace the life that God intended us to live we are encouraging our children to also embrace their own purpose with authenticity!

How about you, what is the most overwhelming part of balancing being a career woman and being a mom? Let me know in the comment section below.
